AfterHVAC Company in Guerneville, CA
Dalton Heating & Air is the HVAC company Guerneville homeowners call when they want a crew that shows up inside the window and puts the price in writing before any work starts. Guerneville sits right along the Russian River, which means humid summer days, fog that rolls in off the coast, and older homes built for a different climate. That combination puts real strain on air conditioning and heating equipment. If your system is struggling, call (361) 306-9515 and we’ll get someone out.
Why Guerneville Homes Are Different
Guerneville isn’t like inland Sonoma County. The river keeps the air damp, and damp air makes AC systems work harder to remove humidity, not just heat. We regularly see condensate drain lines clog faster here than in Windsor or Healdsburg because of the moisture load. A lot of the housing stock dates back to the mid-century river-cabin era: raised foundations, tight mechanical closets, and ductwork that was never sized for modern equipment. Homes up in the hills above River Road and around Armstrong Woods Road have steep driveways and crawlspaces that make equipment access a real part of the job. We also see plenty of newer builds and remodels between Guerneville and Monte Rio where homeowners are converting from window units to proper central air or heat pumps. The point is, Guerneville jobs aren’t cookie-cutter. The combination of damp air, older framing, and hillside lots means our technicians need to think through every job, not just swap parts.
Our Main Guerneville Services
Most Guerneville homeowners reach out to us for two things: air conditioning that stopped cooling during a hot spell, or a furnace that won’t fire on a cold river morning. Heat pump installation has become the third big one as more people move away from old electric resistance or propane setups. Here’s what each job looks like in Guerneville.
AC Repair in Guerneville
When your AC quits in Guerneville in July, the humidity makes it miserable indoors within hours. We diagnose the issue, show you exactly what’s wrong, and hand you a written price before we touch anything. Common Guerneville problems include condensate lines backed up from river humidity, capacitors worn out from constant cycling, and low refrigerant on older R-22 systems. Every repair is guaranteed in writing for a full year. If it fails, we return at no charge. AC Repair in Guerneville
Heat Pump Installation in Guerneville
Heat pumps are a strong fit for Guerneville because they handle both cooling and heating in one unit, and our mild winters rarely push them past their efficient range. We size the system to your home’s actual load, not a rule of thumb, because a river cabin with poor insulation needs a different setup than a remodeled house on a hillside. Installations are scheduled, not rushed. You get a written fixed price and a set install date before we order equipment. Heat Pump Installation in Guerneville
Furnace Repair in Guerneville
Guerneville winters are damp, not brutal, but a furnace that won’t light still makes for a cold morning. We service gas furnaces, electric furnaces, and the occasional propane unit up in the hills. The most common repairs here are failed ignitors, dirty flame sensors, and blower motors that have given out. You get a written diagnosis and a written guarantee on the repair before we start. No verbal estimates, no surprises at the door. Furnace Repair in Guerneville

Pricing for HVAC Company in Guerneville, CA
| Service | Typical range in Guerneville |
|---|---|
| AC Repair | $150 – $650 |
| Furnace Repair | $150 – $700 |
| AC Installation | $3,500 – $7,500 |
| Tune-Up | $80 – $200 |
What pushes a Guerneville repair toward the top of that range is usually access: a furnace in a tight crawlspace off a hillside lot takes longer to reach than one in a flat garage. Parts age matters too. A 20-year-old system may need a component that is no longer manufactured, which changes the conversation. Whatever the number, the price goes in writing before we start, on every job, without exception.
