Available Franchise Territories

We built Dalton Heating & Air on a simple idea: homeowners deserve a crew that shows up on time, puts the price in writing before touching a single tool, and stands behind the work for a full year. That idea now has a name, The Garrison Standard, and we’re looking for operators who want to carry it into markets that don’t have it yet. A protected Dalton territory means you’re not fighting another Dalton truck for the same street. You get exclusive rights to a defined area, the full backing of the Garrison Partners network, and the first-mover advantage of planting the Dalton name before anyone else can. In HVAC, the company that earns the neighborhood’s trust first tends to keep it for decades.

Open Markets

These states currently have open territory available. Each one represents a different kind of opportunity, and we’ve flagged a few reasons why they stand out:

  • Texas – Relentless summers push AC units to failure every year. Replacement demand is steady, not seasonal, and the state’s major metros keep adding rooftops.
  • Florida – Air conditioning is not a luxury here. High humidity wears down coils and compressors faster than almost anywhere else in the country, which means consistent repair volume plus an active replacement cycle.
  • California – A mix of older housing stock and rising efficiency expectations creates demand for both repairs and full system upgrades, especially in the Central Valley and Inland Empire where summer heat is unforgiving.
  • Georgia – Atlanta’s suburban ring and the secondary metros run HVAC systems hard for eight months a year. Ductwork ages, heat pumps fail, and homeowners want a reliable number saved in their phone.
  • North Carolina – Rapid population growth in the Triangle and Charlotte areas keeps bringing in new homeowners who need a trustworthy HVAC company from day one.
  • Arizona – Dry heat destroys capacitors and compressors. AC units run nearly nonstop from May through October, and that workload means repairs and replacements are constant.
  • Tennessee – Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga all have aging housing stock mixed with new construction. Both ends of that spectrum need dependable HVAC service.
  • Ohio – Cold winters and humid summers mean furnaces and AC units both get worked hard. That dual-season demand keeps technicians busy year-round.
  • Pennsylvania – Older homes with outdated systems are everywhere in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia’s surrounding counties. Conversion and replacement work is steady.
  • Colorado – High-altitude winters test furnaces, while summer heat in the Front Range drives cooling demand. Altitude also shortens the lifespan of poorly maintained equipment.
  • Washington – The Seattle metro’s mild reputation hides a growing need for heat pumps and efficient cooling as summers get warmer and older systems reach the end of their service life.
  • Virginia – Northern Virginia’s dense suburbs and the Richmond area both have mature housing stock with HVAC systems primed for replacement, plus steady repair demand throughout the humid season.

How Territories Work

A Dalton territory is an exclusive operating area, which means no other Dalton Heating & Air location can market, sell, or run calls inside your boundaries. You own the brand presence in that geography. When a homeowner in your territory calls the Dalton number, the lead routes to you. When a neighbor asks who fixed their furnace, your truck is the one they remember. Territory boundaries are drawn around realistic service areas, not arbitrary ZIP code clusters. We look at drive times, population density, housing age, and existing competition to shape a territory you can actually dominate without chasing calls an hour away. Reserving a territory starts with a conversation. We review the market together, confirm it’s still open, and then walk through what running a Garrison Standard operation looks like day to day: the pricing system, the training, the back-office support, and the non-negotiable promise every Dalton customer gets. Nothing gets signed until you understand exactly what you’re committing to, and exactly what you’re getting in return. A territory is reserved only after both sides agree the fit is right. We’d rather hold a market open than put the Dalton name on an operation that won’t meet The Garrison Code.
