Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Dalton Heating & Air team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price HVAC Work
Every job at Dalton Heating & Air is priced off a free written estimate – one specific number for your specific job, before anyone picks up a tool. No hourly rate ticking in the background, no subscriptions to join, nothing to sign up for. The technician looks at the system, writes down what it needs, and hands you the price. That number is the price. It doesn’t move once work starts, and you don’t owe anything for the estimate if you decide not to move forward.
We price it this way on purpose. Hourly rates put the risk on you – you’re guessing how long something takes, and so is the tech. A written job price puts the risk on us, where it belongs. If the job takes longer than we figured, that’s our problem, not yours.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate visit is free. A Dalton technician – background-checked, uniformed, and factory-trained on your brand of equipment – comes out, looks at the system, and tells you what’s going on. You get a written price for the work before any decision is made. The visit usually runs 30 to 60 minutes depending on what we find. At the end of it, you have a clear picture of what the system needs and what it costs to fix it. You can say yes, or you can say no. Either way, the estimate cost you nothing.
That’s the point. A lot of homeowners don’t call because they’re afraid of what it costs just to have someone show up. It costs nothing here. Call, find out, then decide.
When People Usually Call Us
Marco Benitez here – and after more than two decades doing this work, the pattern is pretty consistent.
AC calls spike on the first real heat wave of the year. The system ran fine last October, sat all winter, and now it won’t keep up. Most of those calls come in the same two-week window, and we work through them in the order we get them. Same story in reverse on heating – first cold snap of the fall, the furnace or heat pump starts up and something’s not right.
The quieter stretches are spring and early fall. That’s when a planned replacement is easiest to schedule – equipment is in stock, crews aren’t running back-to-back emergency calls, and you’re not sitting in a hot house waiting. If you’ve been watching a system age and thinking about replacement, those are the windows where the whole process is less disruptive.
Whatever season brings you to the phone, the process is the same: free estimate, written price, work guaranteed for a full year. The calendar doesn’t change the standard.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
Dalton Heating & Air is part of the Garrison Partners family, and every location – including ours – runs to The Garrison Code. That means five things that apply to every job, without exception:
- Show up inside the window we gave you. If we say we’re there between 10 and 2, we’re there between 10 and 2.
- Price in writing before any work starts. Always. Not on big jobs, not sometimes – every job.
- Do it by the book, the first time. Our techs are factory-trained on nine major residential HVAC brands: Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard.
- Leave the site clean and squared away. We take what we brought in. We don’t leave the job cleaner than we found it by accident – it’s in the code.
- Stand behind the work for a full year. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is in writing. If the repair doesn’t hold inside that year, we come back and make it right at no charge. That’s not an upgrade or an add-on – it comes with every service call.
Calls are answered by a live person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail queue, no callback window – a real person picks up.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely. A Dalton technician comes out, evaluates the system, and gives you a written price for the work – and you owe nothing for that visit regardless of whether you book the job. The estimate is how we earn the work, not how we charge for showing up.
Do you offer financing or a monthly plan?
No, and that’s deliberate. Every job is priced off a free written estimate – one number, for your specific job, confirmed in writing before any work starts. There’s no financing product, no membership, no subscription, nothing to sign up for. We found that keeping the model simple is better for everyone: you see the full price, you decide, and that’s it.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re a first-time customer, the 10% off your first service visit applies to that visit. The written price guarantee, the written repair guarantee, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise apply to every job automatically – they’re not offers you redeem, they’re just how Dalton works.
Does the price change once your technician is here?
No. The written estimate is the price. If the technician gets into the system and finds something beyond what was quoted – a second failed component, something that wasn’t visible at first – work stops. We re-quote before touching anything new. You approve the new scope in writing before we proceed. The original estimate never quietly expands into a larger number on the invoice.

Call (361) 306-9515 – a real person answers, any time of day or night. Or book online if that’s easier. Either way, a Dalton technician will come out, look at your system, and hand you a written price before any work starts. No obligation, no cost to find out.
